| Our office in the Senior Building in Woodsfield, Ohio is open M-W from 9-4 and by appointment at 740-472-1933. We occupy the Monroe County Records Room and have a lot of data available such as tax records from each township starting in the early 1800's. We also house a complete collection of Monroe County newspapers such as the Monroe County Beacon and Spirit of Democracy. Available from our office are all birth, death and marriage records on CD's and can be purchased for $10 each. A partial index is also available. During the last few years, the MCHS has expanded our collections to include a farm equipment building at the Monroe County Fair. This compliments our museums at Parry Park. They include the Hollister Parry House, Oakridge/Byers School, and the Yaussy/Winkler Dairy. These building are open by appointment.
